Should I give my guinea pig a muesli style feed, I've heard it's bad for them as it encourages selective feeding?
"Our personal opinion (as experienced guinea pig parents) is that criticism of muesli style mixes is a little unfair. Muesli, per say, is not the issue, it can actually encourage foraging and provide added enrichment if it's a good quality mix. Additionally, it's a handy tool for an underweight guinea pig that needs a boost. BUT the problem is if it's overfeed. There's then a high risk of the guinea pig selectively feeding and not getting the right nutritional balance. If a guinea pig is getting 80-90% hay, 5% nuggets, a cup of fresh greens and fresh drinking water daily then it's getting a decent balance. In this case, muesli is a perfectly suitable complementary feed."

Deliveries placed before 09:30 will usually be delivered same day, providing it is the delivery day to that Parish (as shown below)
Delivery on orders under the value of £30 are charged at a flat rate of £3
Delivery Schedule
(West) Mondays & Thursdays – St John, St Mary, St Lawrence, St Brelade, St Peter & St Ouen.
(East) Tuesday & Fridays – Trinity, St Martin, St Helier, St Saviour, Grouville & St Clement.
Deliveries are usually made on the above days between the hours of 11:00 – 18:00. If you require a specific delivery time, please give details in your ‘Order Notes’ when entering your address. Whilst we cannot guarantee that this will be possible, we will do our very best and notify you accordingly. Alternatively, please give details of a ‘Safe Place’ to leave your order.
Currently we do not make deliveries outside the island of Jersey, however should you have a requirement for this, please Contact Us!
What happens if I’m not in?
When entering your address details as part of the Checkout Process, please add an ‘Order Note,’ this will then give our delivery driver information on where your individual ‘Safe Place’ is (ie. In the garage, at the back door etc) The driver will then deliver your order and leave it in your ‘Safe Place,’ please note that goods left in ‘Safe Place’s are done so at your own risk. Animal Kingdom Ltd will not accept any responsibility for stolen goods, it is the customers responsibility to ensure that their ‘Safe Place’ is suitable and secure.
